League not recording record for team
In my league (now in 1878, started in 1871), the game only records Boston's stats & standings for the first 3 games of the year and then nothing else the rest of the year. Every team that plays Boston doesn't get anything recorded either.
Everything else is working fine for all the other teams except for teams that play Boston & Boston themselves. Any ideas?? |
:mad:Not fixable someone told me so close it up
|
What was the issue that caused this, if I may ask?

Hrm. Well just in case, could you FTP a copy of your .dat files and tell us the filename per the instructions in the link below?

Are you on Windows or on a Mac? If you are on Windows, you'll need a program such as WinZip or WinRar. Do you have one of those programs on your computer?
|
Windows & I got WinRar
|
Use WinRAR to compress all the .dat files you find here:
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\saved_games\[Your League].lg ...into a zip file (ie, powderguy.zip), and then follow the instructions (in the link Nutlaw provided) to upload your zip file to the SI server so they can take a closer look. |

Zipped up the files, but I'm getting confused how to put them on the site as described in the instructions.
|
Click on the link provided in the instructions (ftp://ftp.sigames.com), and this should open it up in Internet Explorer. Enter the login/password information provided. Once you're in, navigate to the "ootp" folder, then the "game-save" folder. Then you can just copy your zip file and paste it to this directory. This will save it to SI's server. Hope that helps.

In Cubby's and Nomar's set as far as I could see the imported history against teams was against different team ids to the actual team they should have belonged to. I went through and changed all of them to match up to what they should have been, but the game crashed due to the ID for a team actually coming from its position in the file, not its ID field. And even the sub-objects in a team (ie history) have an ID field even though it should be derivable from its parent and this is where a lot of the mis-alignment came from in Cubby and Nomar's. But unless you can reproduce your steps they'll not accept it as a problem - I'm just going to have to ask Nutlaw to close my problem on it for this reason. |
As this thread has gone more than three days without a reply, it will be closed for housekeeping reasons. If you need any additional help with this issue, please post a link to this thread in Tech Support. Thanks.
