Come on this is getting ridiculous

I can not import more than one player at a time into ANY LEAGUE without the game crashing. This is really getting me angry and would like an answer to this problem. I have to import a player then close OOTP and then go back in. At the 85% level the system crashes to desptop. I have tried new leagues, new games, reinstalled and still have this problem. I want to use this feature and is the reason why I like this game but if I can't use it.

Please help.

I have to do that when I add a league. I can only add one league at a time. If I try to add a 2nd, the game crashes. I can only add 1 league, close the game, start it again, add the 2nd league, close, etc.

Importing Historical Players

Commissioners can import a single historical player from a third-party historical database. This is done
through the Import Historical Player action button on the
Free Agents page , or the Show All Players page .
To import a single historical player, click the Import Historical Player button. You then go through a process very similar to that used to
import an entire historical league.
The main difference between this page and importing an entire historical league is that you must know the player’s unique ID, as used in the historical database. Enter this value in the first field, and then select the
other options.

Note: One “trick” to finding the player’s ID is to visit
http://www.baseball-reference.com/players.shtml.
Look up the player you wish to import, and then check the URL string. The player’s unique ID is the portion of the file name before .shtml.

Once you are done, click Import Player to bring the player into your game. He will become a free agent immediately.

Hope this helps

Is this something they are working on in patch 3 because I have come very close to punching my monitor.

I have 2 gigs of ram which should be way more than enough. Heck I run huge graphic games on this computer and don't have this problem.

I'm sorry that we couldn't figure this issue out earlier, tkirch. Could you please try installing the final patch and letting us know if that helps? Thanks.

As this thread has gone more than two weeks without a reply, it will now be closed for housekeeping reasons so that Tech Support volunteers can more promptly find and address active issues. If you need any further assistance with this issue, all you have to do is post a link to this thread in Tech Support and we can pick up right where we left off. Thanks.
