Can't load league file - corrupt/old version error

I'm trying to load the league file for a new online league and getting the "database is corrupt or from an old version/saved game" error.

I've tried everything I know to do in terms of copying and pasting - using only the .dat files - etc etc. I'm running the latest patched version of 2007 on XP.

Anyone got a resolution to this yet? Seems that from the many links below, something would've been done by now, but instead the threads just keep getting closed without being solved.

In fact, those threads contained numerous things to try and numerous users who solved their issues by trying them. There are any number of possible things that can cause this error. Did you try all of the solutions mentioned in those various threads?

Now when you say that you are trying to load the league file for an on-line league, are you getting a copy of the game files out of game, or attempting to download updated files in-game?

If out of game, make sure that you have your .dat files placed directly in your .lg folder which in turn should be placed directly in your saved_games folder. Do you have a total of 17 .dat files in your .lg folder?
