OOTP9 crash when starting or continuing league

1. Initial freeze occurred while searching for specific players (over 60 power and 60 eye). Since then, program crashes when continuing game or staring new game (while generating league)

2. Program crashes, Windows error message pasted at end of this post.

3. Reboot and created new league - cannot avoid problem. Next step is to reinstall OOTP9. Tried isolating program (shutting down non essential programs one at time) no luck.

4. If relevant, what do you think the program should have done?

5. Historical league 1963, commissioner mode, 41 games into season, realistic players, tried to import jerseys and parks. First try at the league failed due to schedule problems. only 6 of the 20 teams had any games scheduled, may be due to failed imported schedule. Tried to create balanced interleague schedule 9 games each against 19 other teams.

6. PC user: Vista 64 bit,

7. How much memory does your computer have? What other programs are running in the background (anti-virus, messanger, etc)? 4MG RAM AVAST, spybot, firefox.

Update: reinstalled, same crash occurred while starting new league, screen: "please wait - New York is scouting players". Same error message, in substance.

I was able to start another league by completely uninstalling the game (including manual delete of OOTP folder) and reinstalling with new patch. The c0000094 issue may still need to be addressed by tech support.

My new league (also 1962 Mets) now has the same c0000094 error when attempting to open any roster of players, or lineup during a game - the program crashes. This time the game almost made it to the first June draft before it crashed.
I began a new historical league (1969 Expos) and the same problem occurs, c0000094 error and crash when clicking on 'review your roster'.

Out of interest, do you have a second computer you could try it on? You'll have two licences from your order number so if you can find a second computer and install it and see if you get the same error that would be helpful. You can then unlicence it and uninstall it from that machine.

no. I cannot recreate the error at will, as of yet. I will uninstall and reinstall again.
Does the software automatically revert to previous database if an error is detected during an data merge (meaning after a game data auto update)?

I am getting a similar error when attempting to startup the game. I'm not sure what the issue is. I am using a new laptop so I'm not sure if there is a setting that is keeping the game from functioning well.

ootp9.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have tried several times to uninstall and reinstall with no change. Any help would be much appreciated.

The latest c0000094 error occurred today. Backup restore was unsuccessful.

Can you please zip your league files (*.dat) and upload via FTP please? Here are the instructions: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-files-us.html

Thanks!

Good idea! My work-around involves deleting all files before reinstalling, so I do not currently have any damaged files. I will upload them if the error recurs.

Okay. Closing this out until then. Just post a link to this thread and we'll get it logged for you. Thanks.
