Players will not remain in position on field

It's lovely to claim that I can drag and drop fielders and runners where I want them on the field, but it really isn't quite that simple. For one thing, nothing moves when I drag. For another, the drops are hit and miss.

By that I mean that I click and drag the mouse pointer, but the fielder doesn't move. When I release the pointer, then count three, the fielder will move… to somewhere in the vicinity of where I wanted him. Then I'll have to try again to get him a little closer. Then again. Then again. Then on to the second fielder.

Which brings up the third thing (and the reason for the thread title). After spending ten minutes or so getting the fielders just where I want them, the game has no memory, so the next game I have to go through the same thing again. This is NOT fun.

The positions are stored per park, so when the next game is in a new ballpark, unfortunately this has to be done again. The other issues are related to the screen resolution, when the field is displayed bigger than 640*480, the game has to manipulate the dragged coordinates to match that resolution, since that's the way they are stored for each park.

Okay. That means that when I return to that park, the fielders should appear in the positions I dragged them to? That's not as bad.

Is there anything further that you need addressed here, Curtis?

You can close it. If it turns out the players aren't in position on my next turn through those parks, I'll ask for it to be re-opened.
