Online Problems

I already read this http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...date-open.html but it still didn't help me. I just joined a new league but I can't get into the league file for some reason. When I first downloaded it the file was .ig.tar file. It wasn't even a folder. So what I did (which wasn't very smart) was that I told the computer to always open the file with OOTP 09. Now I know this doesn't work at all and it won't let me change back. In fact everytime I try to download the league file it doesn't even let me save it, it just starts OOTP 09 when it is finished downloading and nothing happens. Please help.

Okay, so this is a Windows settings problem and not an OOTP 9 problem. You'll want to access your folder options to prevent Windows from trying to use OOTP 9 to open that extension.

When you figure that out, you'll want to unzip the .tar file and put the resulting .lg folder in your saved_games folder.

Can we help you with anything further?

I've been trying to prevent Windows from doing this but I don't know how to do it. Also when I downloaded it the first time Windows never gave me the option of unzipping the file.

It's going to depend upon which operating system you are using. You could try going to Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types when examining your hard drive contents or somesuch.

What if I'm using Windows Vista and my browser is Internet Explorer? Than what do I do?

Hey man I finally figured it out. Thanks.
