Ever throw a perfect game and not win?
I just did. Well, technically, through 9 innings.:crying:
My first one, too. Rich Harden with the Rangers had a perfect game going. Unfortunately, Gil Meche had a 2-hitter going against me. Scoreless through nine: http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/7166/pg1k.jpg He was tired, but I decided to leave him in for the tenth inning just to see what happens. Of course, walked the first batter: http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3264/pg2z.jpg Go figure. This is unbelieveable. Just finished. I won in the tenth after an RBI single. Here's the box score. http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/1417/bs1g.jpg |
As I'm sure you know it's not possible to throw a perfect game and lose. You can throw a No Hitter and lose though.

That's really gotta suck. Perfect through 9, no perfect game, no no-hitter, no shut-out, no W! Amazing pitchers duel though, reminds me of Halladay-Johnson.

Might as well add this.
Very next game, a 4-hit shutout by Derek Holland. I now have 24 consecutive shutout innings over three games. http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/7205/cgs.jpg I think I'm going to play another one... :) |

Lost 1-0. I've also carried a no-hitter through 11.2 IP. Sadly, the game went 19 innings and he didnt even get a decision. |

Harvey Haddix Perfect Game Box Score by Baseball Almanac Twelve perfect innings and lost the game in the 13th. They used to call this a perfect game until a few years ago. If there is any justice in baseball (and there isn't, of course) this will be recognized as a perfecto again one day. |
Harden sure had a nice game score - 98
