Problem with Historically Accurate Minor League Stats
I recently bought and downloaded 12.5. I am having trouble generating historically accurate minor league stats. In my 1901 fictional league, the major league is accurate, but any minor leagues have way too many home runs and strikeouts. (The league leader for AAA in my 1901 sim has 74 home runs.)
Is this broken? It does not seem to correct itself. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried playing around with all the settings. Do I need to manually enter in the league totals and modifiers? |

I'll try it. It would be endlessly annoying, though, if that turned out to be the solution. Why is this broken in the first place?

This isn't working. Nothing is working. The 1903 AAA Home Run leader should not have 56 home runs.
Is this really this broken? We had no problems with this in 11. |

Although I feel like this must be a user error somehow. Surely this would have come up before now, no? At the same time, I never had these problems with 11. And it's not like I'm an OOTP rookie. |

I'm currently running a fictional/historic league right now started in 1900 in OOTP11 and i'm noticing some weird results also. In AAA guys routinely hit 20 HR's, but in ML you might get only one guy per team with 6 HR's, a few with 2 or 3, and about half with no HR's. I feel like I'm missing something too. I have all the same settings in place that you guys have discussed above.

Perhaps it is the fictional part of fictional/historical leagues that is at issue here.
A historical/historical league started in 1900 and simmed to 1902 had extremely reasonable results for 1901. 12 HRs for the major league leader, 8 for the AAA leader. 32 per team in Majors.....38 per team in minors. This was a fill teams with fictional players style historical league. I find ghost players cause weird stats. So are you running ....... Ghost players? OR Fill teams with fictional players? |

Heres the solution. I'll try to do a good job explaining it as I don't have the game in front of me.
For your major and minor leagues, go to the pages where you can select "financials change accordng to history", "modifiers change according to history", etc... Turn all of those off for both majors and minors. Then, go to your minors "Strategy" page. There is a check-box that is grayed out when you have all the other stuff on called "Let engine control minor league stats" or something. UNCHECK THAT. Then, turn on any of the other settings you want for both majors and minors. The box will gray out again, but it will stay "off." That should work. If not, I'll try to help you further because I've had the same issue and I did fix it. |

Hey, this worked.
I'll add for anyone after me that these steps should be done after league creation--not on the league creation screens themselves. Thanks ryanivr! |
