Updated the open teams. Don't miss the chance to be a part of a well ran league with a solid group of players.
|
Looking forward to getting involved in this one! It'll be awesome to see some of the 80's names and see how they do. Go Brew Crew!!

Updated again with some more teams gone....Welcome to the league trm, should be a fun one once it gets rolling.
|
More teams gone and we're nearly full. C'mon and jump in and let's get this going.

Almost there....good teams still left so tell your friends and let's get the Rewind started.

What is the recalc setting?
If recalc is off what are the batter and pitcher aging speeds? |

Anyway, we are still trying to fill these final teams! As far as I know all five of these teams are still open. |
Down to the last three. . .
|
Two teams have opened up. We're still early in the inaugural season so jump on board to guide one of these two squads to the promise land.
|
League is full....Thanks to everyone who joined and showed interest. If you'd like to hop on the waiting list you can still e-mail and ask to be added.
|
Two teams have opened up. Also, since there has been some confusion with new folks joining up. Please take a look at the special note I added under the rules section if your thinking about joining the league.

Posting this up for the commish. The Pirates have opened up as we end the 1980 season. Please keep in mind that if you join you need to be aware of our three extensions per season rule. You cannot sign more than three extensions in any given season.
I'd also like to make a personal statement about the league itself. We started the first season on January 25th and will wrap up the World series no later than February 25th. The commish has been on time with every sim and has worked tirelessly to keep the league rolling. Not only that he allows us to give him input on how we would like things to work in the future. We just discussed altering the sim schedule and things and are now discussing how HOF voting should work in our league. So, I really cannot say enough good things about this league. That said, there are some expectations that owners are active in this league. He is constantly culling the GM pool to get rid of lazy or inactive owners. So, if you join you need to be willing to commit to exporting at least twice a week and staying current on the league news. If you cannot do that then this isn't the league for you. If you can export twice weekly, follow the rules and enjoy historical OOTP then this league is right up your alley. We run at a fast enough pace that we can get through 10+ seasons a calendar year but a slow enough pace that you have time to digest everything. Very interested in this league and setup if any when another team opens.
PM me please when that happens. |
Just a bump...the O's and Mets are open and we are in Spring Training for the 1981 Season. Now is a great chance to get in and pilot one of these teams at the start of a season and put your own touch on the team.

A good team has opened up. Just a few things of note (more info is in the OP from Juggernaut).
- Three extensions per season rule. - We do plan to convert to OOTP 13 down the road. The commissioner just has not decided when yet. We are discussing that now actually on the forums. - You must own the game to participate in this league. I was told to specifically mention that since the last guy that applied to take over the Orioles apparently did not own the game and that is why they are open again so soon. Team info: Team: Baltimore Orioles Current Record: 29-30, 6 GB 1980 Record: 89-73 Team Link: Home Page Top Players: Eddie Murray, Jim Palmer & Dennis Martinez. Top Prospect(s): Tim Leary - 7th best farm system in the MLB Link to the league: The MLB Rewind | An OOTP 12 Historical League Great league. Active league. We're 1.5 seasons in and no missed or late sims. Everything running like clock work. Fast paced. We use OOTP Utilities and Statslab. Vbulletin forums. Historical baseball. What is there to not like? |
We are in the off-season between 1981 and 1982. We've had two teams open up.
The Houston Astros: Home Page They have been to the playoffs two straight seasons and went to the World Series in 1980.
