Historic database
 

I'm wanting to try a historical league. Looking for recommendations on which database to use. Would especially like to see Negro Leaguers included.

Depends on when you want the players to start. Spritz DB's have the players at 18. Gambo has them as of their rookie year. To the best of my knowledge Gambo has all the Negro League players that Spritz has but only has the top 50 Asian players and not sure if he has any PCL players of which Spritz has roughly 400.
I am currently using the Gambo/Sprtiz OOTP 12 DB for 2 of my historical Leagues. I was using Spritz All Players Real debut 12th file down, but they debut at 18 & younger not their actual rookie year. I drafted Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Eddie Collins & Walter Johnson all 2nd round or below and my team was already great. I felt I had a unfair advantage.

Does Gambo/Spritz OOTP12 work with OOTP13 as well?

Yes. Once you get to 2010 or 2011 switch to the default.

When you download a custom DB and create a new historical league go to Advanced Options and choose the master.cvs from the custom DB. When you get to 2010 or 2011 or for most of Spritz DB's 2012 switch to the default DB. It won't have players from those years since it was made before that year. to switch DB's in an existing league Copy and paste using keyboard not mouse and ctrl-v it into the database path line under League Menu - League setup - Historical.

That is my default DB.
