Best Game 6 and Game 7 I've seen!
Screenshots of the boxscores of the last two games of the NLCS in my fictional league. Sacramento lead the series 3 games to 2 heading into Game 6 in Philadelphia. Sacramento came back from 5-0 down to take a 6-5 lead headed to the bottom of the ninth, but Philly tied it on a homer by Mauro Alba. Sacramento took the lead again in the tenth inning, but Philly scored twice in the bottom half to send the series to a seventh game back in Sacramento. In the seventh game, Edward Ross hit a homer in the first, but a three-run homer by Alonso Ortiz in the eighth made it 3-1 Philly. Ross hit another homer to tie it in the bottom half, however, and a throwing error by Francisco Bruno in the bottom of the tenth finished the game, the series, and the National league season.
Some notes: - The game-winning run of Game 6 was driven in by Al Hill... a pitcher! - Edward Ross hit two home runs to drive in all 3 runs Sacramento scored in the first nine innings of Game 7. Ross also hit a two-run HR in the sixth inning of Game 6 to cut the Philadelphia lead in half and also scored the go-ahead run in the tenth inning of Game 6. http://i59.tinypic.com/14xldhg.png http://i62.tinypic.com/29z8yma.png Sacramento would lose the World Series to the Detroit Legends on two amazing pitching performances by Tim Hansen and Wayne Schreck, who had carried them throughout the postseason, 4 games to 2. Anything like this that you've seen in any of your leagues? |
