Anyone try random debut?
 
I have been trying to do a random debut starting in 1871 and I keep on getting a situation where pitching and defense dominates. One year Toad Ramsey hit 1200 K's in a season. Any helpful information?

Did you make sure that the strategy is also set to 1871? No way should Toad Ramsey have 1200 K when he pitches in 35 games. in 1886 he pitched in 67 GS 588 IP and had 499 K so he should have fewer then that in a 35 game season (think OOTP 1871 was 35 games). What other settings do you have?

Believe 1871 is 30, Not 100% sure though.

It is 30 but the 1200 Ks was in 1872 which is a 50 game season. And yes it is set to the 1871 strategy.

Something is out of wack with historical players except when you actually play historical. I had Bobby Mathews in my aBF league and i want to say he had one season of 450 K and hghas career totals around 4500 K.
