Amping up Offense

I just finished a season where the NL leader in home runs hit 32 and only three of the top hitters cracked .300. AL was not as extreme but the leader there only hit 35 HR.

So I'm going to allow the DH in the NL (which I hate) but does anyone have any suggestions on how to redo the settings to allow more HRs and higher batting averages without throwing out of whack?

Use historical modifiers. Use the steroid era and you shouldn't have too many guys above .340 but should have several 50 HR guys.
I'll be using 1995 in my EBL league for my 2025 season with some modifications.

Maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't having th DH lower the number of HRs for the other players??? It's my understanding that HRs are set for the league so having the DH rule would allow some of those HRs to go to the DH diluting the HRs from the other players(assuming the DH has a better hitting rating than pitchers). Let me know if I'm wrong.
