Not getting it here. Can you give me a few more details about your game - what mode, which team you're playing as, what year it is, etc?

Season one just after starting a sandbox game with the Dallas stars as soon as game starts in 2016 clicked unsigned draftees clicked on a player and got exe not responding

Nope, still don't get it with that exact setup. One thing I can think of: try turning off facegen (start screen - settings - enable facegen unchecked, then restart the game) and see if that changes anything - what your seeing sounds a little similar to what could happen if your system's having trouble with the player portraits, so see if that makes any difference.
