Players Over age limit in Minor league being released automatically

I have an online league with an age limit of 22 set for one of the Rookie leagues (only age limit we have in the the whole league).

When players turn 23 they are allowed to continue play in the league as would be expected BUT if they are 23 at the end of the playoffs they are AUTOMATICALLY released from their organization. If they turn 23 they day after the end of the playoffs they are allowed to remain.

So there is some sort of check at the end of the playoffs for players too old for the league. This is fine but the players should not be released because they are too old when there are other places in the organization where they could be placed. We have no roster limits in the minors so they could be transferred to our other rookie league (no age limits or roster limts) or promoted to our Short Season league (again no age or roster limits) or at worst put on the MLB team's DFA list. The last thing that should happen is that these players are released.

I have been told that this issue has been corrected in OOTP18.
