How do I assign a team captain?

Messed around with it but can't figure it out.

don't believe you can assign someone to be captain. it's just a combination of settings in player profile that make him a captain.

you can (in commish mode) play with the numbers to create one.

It tells me that not having a captain is detrimental to the team.....and I can't appoint a captain?

The captain isn;t a position its a personality trait.

they are born not assigned :p

kidding of course.

what the game said plus... it's not too detrimental to a solid team... maybe a borderline playoff team it could make a very minor difference that could possibly be the proverbial straw that breaks the camels back -- being in playoffs or not.

ie over 162 games it's a small effect, and therefore definitely negligible per 1 game.
