Draft Budget

1 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone,

Quick question about my draft budget when trying to sign impossible players. Little confused on the wording of the amount of money I have to spend. Says my budget is $3.9 but at the end, says I have a budget room of $9.987 million.

I'm assuming that latter number is the amount of money I have in my total budget? Basically, I want to know if I am able to sign this guy without going over my budget or not. I don't think I can but wanted to make sure. Thanks.

either it's slot value reference or you didn't set a hihgh enough budget or leave enough room under total budget...

i don't play with this option on, so not sure on the minutiae.. only a few things to check, though.

So you don't think I have the room to make an offer? I didn't touch anything with the budget, all set to auto. But being the Pirates, I imagine I don't have much room to be thrifty.

Yes, you can go over the draft budget as long as you have overall budget room. You may have a problem with an extreme controlling owner, but otherwise there will not be any negative ramifications. Basically, the draft budget just sets aside an amount of money for the draft so you won't consume it with other things.

Gotcha. So no issues with being able to do anything else. Don't lost any money from the extension/FA pool right? Thanks.

you can't spendover your budget, so if you needed a trade after that, it would matter if you took on more money than space allows = no trade.

check front office page to see how much extra room you have.. if you need more wiggle room for something later, make sure to leave it available.

ramificiations depend on context
