League real time Play
 

I have played a couple online games which have a 24 hour clock associated with them. This means everything takes place in real time. I am wondering if OOTP will ever experiment with setting something like this up in one of their versions?

It seems like you are already moving that direction with the Perfect Team which takes place over the course of a week. And now with OOTP we will be able to do in season updates with our MLB team.

I just could imagine playing one of my leagues over the course of a real year or maybe just an internal clock within the game (which would allow you to speed it up by a certain factor).

But during the "day" before the game starts at "night" (based upon the internal clock) you can make trades, maybe update stories with you local media, have a chance to check out your minor leagues, do training with players, wait for league updates which come out during the morning, etc. The possibilities are endless.

I know it would probably take lots of programming to pull something like this off, but it would be a fun mode to play in. Possibly something to work toward in future editions.

I already will sometimes start my games and just watch them in the background real-time as I work on things with school, or around the house, and check back as I would with my MLB team.
