Pitcher Pinch Runner Problem

This is a two-part bug.

Part One:
In an important playoff game, my 3B is injured running the bases.
Since the pitcher is due to hit in the inning, I send out the next inning’s reliever to run for him.
I pinch hit a 1B for the pitcher and shift my 1B to 3B.
At the end of the inning, I get the error message for a missing player or defensive position, even though my lineup card is filled out properly.
The game can’t continue, and I have to exit.

Part Two:
When I reload the game, the game I was playing is visible in the scoring updates, but when I try to resume it or sim out the day, a NEW game begins on top of the old one. The game begins in the top of the first with the score was it previously was in the middle of the seventh. Pitchers who pitched in the initial game aren’t eligible to pitch in it, leading to a clusterf*** in the rotation and bullpen for the rest of the series.

League files have been uploaded as “PitcherPinchRunnerProblem.” Thank you!

Just to be sure...

When you subbed in the P to pinch run, for the injured player, his position should have shown as "PR". After all that is all you did was insert a pinch-runner, not a pitcher. After the inning played out you would need to designate him as the pitcher by changing the "PR" to "P".

Did you change "PR" to "P" to actually make him the pitcher for the next inning?

If you did all of that and had an illegal lineup then you have an issue.

I made him a pitcher, yeah.

Ok, thanks. Not sure what to say as I've made this switch many many times and have never had a problem.
