Throwback Uniforms
 

Does anyone have a repository of older/throwback uniforms? I'm playing in the early 1980s and want to give the Phillies, Cardinals, and Ryyals their blue uniforms, among other things.

Jackpot...thanks so much! Those powder blues always looked so awful to me (the stadiums too). But now that I'm playing OOTP in 1982 I'm feeling immersed in it.

I'll take the powder blue over monotone gray any day. :)

Late '70s, early '80s is my favorite era.

Yeah, I totally get how polyester pullovers and bright colors fell out of fashion, but I'd love to see some of the color stuff especially come back into vogue. I mean, we can probably kiss poly goodbye and good riddance...

reminds me of that period from the late 90s to the aughts in sports where a few teams in every league hopped on the black alternate jersey train.

And, perhaps even more annoyingly, pinstripes...

I hate that the Astros were one of those teams who did pinstripes AND black jerseys (though they got rid of the black jerseys after two years). It's what happens when your baseball-idiot owner meddles in those decisions.

So how do i get the royals uniforms into my game? i mean they are not individual image files

I keep very few jerseys in the OOTP folders.

I like to keep others jerseys in their own place.


But go to team drop down - modify colors & uniforms - Jerseys & caps - select then find where you saved the file to. Once you are in that jerseys or caps folder for Reds1 you can click on find and on the bottom you will see Kansas City and Royals lists (or whichever team you are on) if you select either it will pull up just the files named that. It world great for old uniforms or files with tons of files.


select the jerseys you want. For almost every team in every league i will use up to 6 jerseys per year and change them often.

is there any quicker way to do this other than manually? I have my game pointed at the right folder for jersey/caps/etc but they aren't auto-updating like they should

You can put the jerseys, caps & logos each in the respective OOTP folders. Then for an existing game go to League Settings - Database and edit the logos, jerseys and caps to the OOTP ballcaps folder then jerseys then logos. (you can also just point to the folder as i do. As i said i do not put jerseys in the OOTP folders. I have too many leagues.)
I will have to get someone else to answer hot to update the entire league for logos and jerseys. I guess i forgot how to do it. i know you can hit auto reload and that will load the jerseys and logos.
