Team Mexico
 

I've gotten behind on my other dynasty report (doing testing to get the league to where I want it to be), so I'm starting this one where I actually manage a team.


Águilas de México
The golden eagle, known in Spanish as águila real (royal eagle), is the national animal of Mexico and the center of the coat of arms of the country. This is why this team's mascot will be the eagle.
We will begin participation in the 2020 season, as part of the AL West. This is not an expansion team as I don't want an expansion draft, I will be creating my original roster with Mexican players from around the league. I will finish filling the team with the best players from the Mexican League.
The only rule is that I can only sign and draft Mexican players in order to try to win the championship.
I have added a 5% of Mexican players to the draft.

March 17th, 2020 - Organization and first roster

First let's meet the organization:
The team's owner is Emilio Azcárraga, who is the owner of Liga MX's Club América (also nicknamed The Eagles). He is relatively pacient, and is willing to pour money into the team as long as we perform.
The affiliates are as follows:
MLB - Águilas de México
AAA - Marineros de Ensenada (PCL)
AA - Algodoneros de Delicias (TEX)
A+ - Freseros de San Quintín (CAL)
A - Broncos de Reynosa (SAL)
R - DSL Squad

Next, I hired all-new staff for the MLB team:
Ass. GM - Vinny Castilla. IRL assistant GM in the Rockies organization, as well as manager for Hermosillo's winter league team.
Bench coach - Erubiel Durazo. One of the greatest ever.

Hitting coach - Alfredo Amézaga. IRL coach with the Naranjeros de Hermosillo.
Scout - Carlos de la Garza. He's the best available scout in-game.
Trainer - Tim Brooker. The only USA national here, no Mexicans available.

We're exactly .500 after the Opening Weekend. We got two lucky wins, including an 8-run comeback against Oakland. I'm not too worried about our offense but the pitching definitely needs to get better.
