OOTP User League (OUL): Sign Up for a Single Player | Twitch
 

This is an experimental idea I've been wanting to do for a while, and hopefully there is some interest here.


Instead of managing your own team like a traditional online league you get to create and control your own individual player and make decisions along with other members of the OOTP community as games are played out on twitch.

Player Creation:

-The player universe of the OUL is made up completely of real-life people. IRL in the sense that any registered user of ootpdevelopments.com/board can create a player based off of the available in-game criteria (below) and join a team.
-The initial season will be done via inaugural draft and new players/teams will be added via expansion draft. In order to preserve the longevity of the league, all players will be created between the ages of 18-22.
-The minimum you have to do is crate a player with the info below. The most you can do is participate in streams on twitch or in the discord.
-Full rules on the OUL website.

Wasn't there something like this years ago? I'm sure I had a couple of players in it or was that an hockey league, you wrote articles and such to boost your player it was either baseball or hockey. One of the guys from these forums got me to join but I'm sure he was a GM.

Yes, there was a baseball league. I was in it as a player. Cuss16 and maybe Bobble were involved.

Not sure how much work you want to do to match him to what we want but in my series Donahue is a 6-pitch pitcher: Fastball, Curveball, Changeup, Slider, Knuckleball and Knuckle Curve. He's a 64% groundballer with 100+ MPH Velocity.

He's currently Extremely Popular in New York and Unknown outside of it.

In my series he's learning to play shortstop on days he doesn't pitch. He'll probably complete this by the time he's out of high school but I totally understand if you don't want to do that here.
