WBC Rosters not picking Major Leaguers
 

Why does the game not select MLB players, or even top minor leaguers, for WBC rosters, even though the settings tell it to? Or am I not setting it correctly?

That would interest me too.

Good, because this was posted twice and in the other thread the first response was "what are your settings?". Because otherwise how do we know? And no reply, so I bet the OP figured it out.

Anyway, for anyone coming after you, I think the first thing to check is whether you have "associated" the leagues you want to contribute players. On the league settings screen, under the "Tournament and Teams" tab, there's a little pulldown menu just above the list of all your teams/divisions./whatever. You have to select all the leagues you want to participate. If all the leagues in the pulldown menu are greyed out, and there's just a list of all your leagues, you have that setting right.

So, that's step 1 anyway.

Right, it looks like your leagues aren't associated. I don't have v.22, but in v.21 the associated leagues (that contribute players) would be greyed out. Did you add MLB?

The only other thing I'd try is changing "player talent level" to something else? And check MLB's settings to make sure it's level is actually set to "Major League". I always set the talent levels for a World Cup style tournament to take players from all levels, so you could try changing the lowest level to rookie instead of AA. But I don't think that's where your problem is coming from.

Also, final dumb suggestion but the tourney is set to run every 4 years and rosters to be selected 1 month before the tournament. So,if you aren't 30 dqys before the tournament no teams will have players.
