Historical mode
 

Is there a bug that skips over the draft in historical mode? I started in 2012 and the game seems to just not recognize it. There would usually be a draft lottery taking place in Early July in past games. Did it just get moved to June to reflect normal NHL seasons?

Did you turn the Draft Rookies/Generate Rookies at Age 17 option off? I get a normal draft in 2013 with a 2012 start with that option on.

I didn't change any of the initial settings.

You've played through the season and are at July 2013, right?

I simulated the season while unemployed. The game doesn't seem to pause for or remind you about the draft. I tried the same with another save and the game still doesn't recognize the draft as an event.

But had you reached July 2013 yet? When I start a 2012 game with all the default settings, I get the 2013 draft on July 3, 2013. I'm wondering if you were expecting to see a 2012 draft, when that would've already happened with a 2012 start.

Simulated past the season, don't see a draft. Prior versions would have the game interrupt simulation, there would be a draft lottery, and a draft. The draft didn't exist. There was no option to select prospects. None of the players who would have been drafted in 2013 have their rights assigned to any team.

Very strange. Can you try it one more time? Everything on the default settings, 2012 start. If it skips the draft again, please upload the save and we'll have a look (uploading instructions here.)

I have started Historical mode in 2001 and following two drafts didn't occur, all the players from 2002 and 2003 draft year still with junior or European teams! Tried it twice and same thing happening.

Did you start with all the default options, or change any of them? I get a 2002 draft in a 2001 start with all the defaults, too.

Yes started with default options as unemployed, tried a third time simmed 3 seasons no drafts.

I'm missing something here, but not sure what. Can you upload one of your saves where it happend?

Thanks. I'm not sure what's going on there, everything looks like it's set up so the draft should be present, it's just not appearing. We'll have to dig into the save a little further to see why it's disappeared.

Draft doesn't work in a 2014 start either

Yeah, we found the problem. It'll be fixed in the first update.

When might that be?
