Blackhawks '30 Historical Challenge - timing of award
 

The good news is that in the '31-'32 season - (4th out of 11), the Blackhawks finished in first place and 'won' the Muldoon curse historical challenge. The badge is showing up in 'Steam' and that much is all good.

The confusing thing is that the game awarded the win in the middle of January, not at the end of the season (as one may expect). In the middle of January, the Blackhawks were leading the league by 5 points, and ended up leading the league by 10 points at the end of the season.

So, what might have been happening to grant the win in January? Was the system looking at the teams and projecting that the Blackhawks had an 80% probability of finishing in first, so, what the heck, award the win early?

Again, not a critical issue, but certainly interesting.

Shouldn't have happened, we'll check the trigger for that achievement.
