Idea: Repeatable Missions
What do you think would happen if missions could be completed multiple times? I think it would have these impacts:
- Allow people to re-create cards they previously sold - Increase the availability of mission rewards in the auction house, driving down those prices (and the likelihood that people sell rewards, or just buy entire rosters) - Increase the demand and price of materials, but possibly only to the extent that creating the rewards is profitable Not sure it's a good idea, and possibly a topic already much-debated. Just curious. |
It is an interesting idea but one negative effect is that having more copies of mission rewards out there would almost certainly exacerbate the lack of diversity in rosters and lineups.

True, and that's been driving me crazy. I think the all-powerful cards with no downsides (Collins, Tris, Brett, etc) are the main issue there. But you're right, mid-year you would definitely see more of the popular rewards. Remember all the Josh Gibsons and Cristobal Torrientes?

Personally I think it would be a mess trying to rehash the same cards. People will be collecting the choice cards over and over selling them flooding the market to the point half the leagues will have the same 26 players. Soon great cards will be like a common card from a 1990 Topps pack.

People would just use this as a way to constantly farm rewards and grind out PP

The market always balances out. While you'd think it would drop the mission card reward price, it would eventually be counteracted by the increase in price for the repeatable mission required cards. In the end it just wouldn't be worth it.
I do feel bad for someone who sold their gold Pete Rose BAL or something and now has to wait for someone else to put it up for sale, or make a second account and essentially break the rules to sell it to their other account just to complete a very long chain of missions through the FH process. Maybe allow for some form of alternative catch up type missions later in the cycle? |
