Setting up new manager in existing universe
Is it possible to set up a new manager within the same world as my current save? Say, if I'm playing a historical franchise from 1900 and I wanted to retire after my manager gets old, can I set up a brand new manager without losing all the history, teams, scores, accolades, etc. that I already have?
I'm in year 27 of this save file, and my manager isn't getting any younger, so I want to prepare myself for when the time comes to hang up the uniform and let the next skipper take over. |
I assume you're talking General Manager. If you have the GM quit then what you see in that IDs "history" stays there. You can see it by switching to that GMs account.
Whatever happens with you new GM show's up on that GM's history. Team history goes on as if nothing happened. |
I more meant my playable manager that I control when I created this save.

Oh, so you are the field manager. I suppose in commissioner mode retire the ID. If it works like AI field managers his records will be available on the managers list.

Not sure if this is responsive, but I have created a second manager in my 1938 sim. I don’t see anything to prevent substituting that guy for the current (created) manager. I have found that with personnel, there is a way to make retired players available for hire as coaches or managers, or to create fictional guys. My three sons are the GM, field manager, and owner of my independent league team. I gather those changes could be done at any time.
