Solo-League Reports
 

Longtime OOTP player I'm looking for advice on the best way to share stats/boxscores etc. from my solo league online so others can follow along. Something like Stats+ is a little more involved than what I'm looking for, just wondering if folks have tips on the simplest way to do this. Thanks!

I would check into some of the work that the fine posters we have here that have chronicled their leagues in the Historical, Fantasy and Dynasty simulation sub-forums. You will see a plethora of ideas. It is just amazing what some people come up with. If you have any other questions, myself or others would be happy to answer them for you. :D

The game is abysmal at this and it hasn't ever changed since OOTP3. Your only options are to turn on online league mode and generate HTML reports like you're playing in an online league and then upload everything yourself.

Statsplus is the easiest way to do this out of the box because you don't have to use Statslab or one of other tools to setup on your own webspace, but alternatively that means you'd have to pay a fee to keep your solo league online.

Obviously, dynasty reports and narrating your blog are all possible but it's just duplicate info. There's no easy way to port data from OOTP 23 years into the series and it's maddening.

Stats only without a story is boring.

I know it's not the favorite of browsers, but a combination of Microsoft Edge and Paint.net work for me.

1. Open the boxscore in browser.

2. Right click the boxscore in Edge and choose "Web Capture"


3. Draw a box around the boxscore and then select Copy.


4. Paste the boxscore in Paint.net. Select "Expand Canvas." Save the boxscore.

5. Attach boxscore to posts. You can use the same method for every screen that allows you to open that screen in the browser.

Not if you're only generating the information for yourself. Or just want to share a player or a particular league without having to write a novella every time you want to share. Dynasties have their place, but so does easy data portability.
