If you have already installed the game (so you're treating the wizard as a patch), it really should detect the existing save location and not make you choose your user-defined folder every time you run it. I know that in past versions I've set it up on my D: or E: drive and then just plain forgot with one patch and boom, now it's taking up space on C:.
