Stop Auto-play

1) Thanks for ideas to help me stop auto-play (automatic simulation of a game).
I have tried all the ideas posted on this forum.
None of them work and the menu items mentioned in some cases are not even what I see in my OOTP 24 when I go to the menu places suggested to change settings.
2) Also can you stop auto-play during a season or do I need to do it somewhere/sometime before a season starts? If so where do I go in menus and what do I do?

I'm not sure if this is your issue, but I know that sometimes a gamer will go to play out a specific game and then once they have played out the game, they will find that all other games on that day have simmed (auto-played). The way to keep that from happening is when you go to play out a game and have selected Manage Game from the schedule, before you actually start the game, go to Options & Preview and on the right-hand side scroll all the way down and the very last option is Simulate World in Background. Change this to No. This will keep any games from being auto-played when you play out games on that day... And this setting will remain as No until you change it.

Hope this a) addresses your issue and, if so b) makes sense. If it doesn't address your issue then please reply with specifics (maybe screenshots?) as to what you mean. If it does address it, but doesn't make sense, please reply with follow ups and I'll try to explain in more detail ;)

If you’re talking about when auto play is happening during a game and it’s just whooshing from one batter to the next, you hit the escape key. I think if there’s already a play in progress it will keep it going until it’s over, and there might be some issue with jamming on it, like it might be a toggle instead of an off switch, but if you hit it once and wait for the play to end it should be good.

Many thanks for the replys.
thehef, your reply tells me where to go to solve the issue and changing "Simulate World in Background" to "No" does solve the issue. So thanks for the great help!
