Unlike what is going to happen in real life (ahem), Opening Day was pretty awful.

The Rays stomped the Jays, 9-1.

It was a strong start by Chris Bassitt but it was Daulton Varsho's 5th inning home run that gave the Jays a 1-0 lead and it was his 9th inning homer that gave them a 3-2 win over the Rays.

It was another big game for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as he went 3 for 4 with a home run, two singles, and w all, scoring three times, and driving in five.

His efforts led the Jays to a 10-3 win over the Astros.
