Online League - FA Contract Offers Not Sticking
 

I'm in a daily sim league, and since December 26th my contract offers have only been taking like 30% of the time. A few others seem to be having this issue. Curious if anyone knows how to fix it, or if maybe it's an issue with the most recent patch?

I have attached screenshots of the issue.

First screenshot - shows the offer I submitted yesterday. Exported plenty of times, all of the scouting reports and such I requested worked so the export went through fine.

Second screenshot - shows the offer screen after this morning's sim. Offer didn't take, it's showing my most recent offer was from May.

Third screenshot - shows the Contract Negotiation screen. Player is asking for the same amount that I offered him last sim - so it's not a case of someone outbidding me.


Any help would be appreciated.

Has your league updated to the most recent version (https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...php?t=359379)? I know some of the earlier patches we ran into some issues with contract offers in online leagues.

Issue continues to persist. Any updates? It's really hard to compete in an online league when some clubs cannot participate in FA.

Attached are the most recent screenshots on the same player from above.

-One screenshot is from the IAFA screen. It says I have $4.56m in offers allocated - which is the amount I offered the player.

-One screenshot shows my Pending Offers screen, which is showing just a $730k offer.

-One screenshot shows the offer screen - which states that I have offered $730k and he's asking for the exact number I offered last sim. Also, it won't even let me make that offer because the game is taking into account the initial $4.56m offer and puts me over the cap.


This has been happening since the past offseason, which coincides with the most recent patch. Other GMs have been having similar issues. Went through the entire offseason unable to participate in FA and has continued into the regular season now with IAFA.

Here's an example from the previous offseason with Mark Crawford.

-Email says I have the best offer at 1 yr, 10.1m.

-Transaction screen shows he wants more money and that my most recent offer was 1 yr, 8m.

-Contract offer screen says my previous offer was 1 yr, 8m; and he's asking for the 1 yr, 10.1m that I had offered the previous sim.

Promise I'm not trying to be annoying lol. Just want to continue showing what I'm seeing in hopes it will help get to the bottom of the issue.

This morning's sim was even weirder.

*Screenshot from 8/7/2106 sim shows most recent offer is $730k; with the offer made on 6/2/2106.

*Screenshot from 8/18/2106 sim shows most recent offer is $500k, with the offer made on 5/22/2106.

So somehow the offer regressed in dollars and time from one sim to the other...?


Also...

For this sim, I made the player an offer for $6m. After I made the offer, I go to pending offers and it still shows the $500k offer as the most recent offer. Attached screenshots for that too. (I did a full uninstall, reinstall before making this offer hoping it would help)

Everyone in our online league is experiencing the same thing.

"So what do I believe?

The inbox message, the pending screen, the contract offer page before I alter the deal, or the contract offer page when I change the amount I am offering. Cause they are all saying different things"

This latest patch is a disaster and if it's not fixed then we're going to probably have to abandon our current league and figure out a different option for sim baseball.

+1 definitely breaking the game for online leagues unfortunately :crying:

It’s too bad this has cropped up right as our sim league of 15 years in game (and 3 years in real life) has hit the offseason! Hopefully a hotfix will happen soon!

Players are acting like I offered them contracts I offered three weeks prior and they’re suggesting that I offer them the exact contract I offered them the previous week. This is completely breaking my online league. It needs to be fixed. I am on the latest patch.

Online leagues are the community's flesh and blood, if the "final" update for 25 is going to leave the game in a state of disrepair like this it's going to kill leagues. One of mine stayed on 24 out fear that 25 would break the game, and I disagreed... but at the moment it's egg on my face.

To aid in resolution I will say- I didn't patch the last (last, last) patch so this bug hasn't *seemed* to hit me while it hit most of my leagumates before it grinded our offseason to a halt.

Player telling me he wants EXACTLY what I offered him last sim while saying my previous offer was not enough which is EXACTLY what I offered him 3 weeks ago in game.

This is completely game breaking.

This is happening in my league also. Wtf.

Not to mention, one of our star top ten hitters in the league, took an extension at less than 5 million per year when his current salary is 20+ million a year. Absurd

We are aware of the issues, and are looking into it further.

In prior patches we were getting free agent messages that would often say that a player was laughing at our offer, but then asked for the exact same offer.

Paraphrasing, because I don't have the exact quote available:
I'm a major league ballplayer and not going to sign a minor league contract.

Current ask: a minor league contract.


Or the offer might be for 2.5M/1 and the player would come back saying he couldn't sign for that, [he has a family to feed] but was now seeking 1.5M/1.

We would laugh those off. But this latest patch has really screwed with things, as mentioned above. Thanks for looking into them.

Build 103 not 101 https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=359892 103 has fixes for contracts. It is a public beta atm.
