Hi all,

Please post any issues with the historical databases here. Players importing multiple times, not importing, crazy ratings, wrong stats or other stuff like this. LansdowneSt, Garlon, pstrickert and I will do our best to respond and to fix any issues.

1871 Start: A good number of players with fielding ratings are being labeled as DH to start the fantasy draft. It is true importing with fielding ratings based on career and 3-year fielding records.

Hmmmm... I can't replicate this. I did a default 1871 historical start and had no DHs and all the fielding looked good. Any other toggles/changes to the defaults? What game mode?

I just realized that it was extra players I imported that started as DH.

I use the excel Master list from Spritze's old 18 yr old DB to start out in 1871. Those imported players started at DH when viewing from FA, but then changed to a position when I rescouted.

Setting up my 1872 draft class yielded the same result.

Basically, tons of players are being drafted, never signing and then not going back into drafts or signing with teams at all, keeping them in limbo for their entire careers

World Template issue
 

I am playing a Random Debut game starting in 1903. I save a World Template right before I start the game. When I start another game using the same World Template, it gives me the same group of players for the Inaugural draft.

I posted this before for OOTP25 and nobody seemed to know to fix this problem.

Reality

Torii Hunter signed a 1 year @ 10.5 a year.

Whenever you save a world template, it saves the players in the world as well. To use this without the same players, you'd need to manually delete them all before saving the template. Just make sure to leave at least one player, otherwise the template may crash.

He was a decent hitter for a pitcher, so it may be he's better than some of the Herb Washington types Oakland could have on their bench.

Are 2024 As Played Line Ups/Pitching up to date yet? The first game of the season with the Dodgers and Padres had wrong line ups (Mine had Freeman leading off for the dodgers when he really batted 4th)

Also, Went to the Angels opening day and Jose Soriano is starting when in reality it was Patrick Sandoval...

No, it's broken atm but it's been logged as an issue to fix. It seems isolated to the 2024 lineups/transactions. It was working just before release, so fingers crossed it's a targeted fix.

Per the manual: Templates created during the game creation process contain only the structure of your game. Templates created after a game has started include all of the players in that game as well.

Same thing happened to 1873 draft class when imported based on career fielding. Forgot to screenshot before editing, but will screenshot 1874 draft class if issue persists when I wrap the 1872 season.

Lukas or Matt: please let us know when the 2024 historical lineups/trades are "fixed" and uploaded to Steam's OOTP26....for us OOTP26 owners who want to replay 2024 season with these features. Thank you very much.

It's already fixed, and will be in the first patch, which will be coming early next week in a public beta.

Good news. Looking forward to it. I've already begun my 1970 replay and the game looks and plays great. As enjoyable as I expected OOTP26 to be! (player here of every OOTP version since OOTP15)!
