In a DH league, making Ohtani DH and SP in same game - How?
The only way I can see to do this is selecting REMOVE DH at the start of the game, but I want him to DH AND serve as the SP for the game, leaving him in to DH after he gets pulled from the mound. With REMOVE DH, it sets up an old style NL type game for my team only where the pitcher hits.
He does have the (BAT) next to him in his rotation slot, so I assume he's to bat when he is pitching, as the DH but it's not sticking. What am I missing? |
Remove DH and he will go into the lineup. BAT shows his batting ratings and stats

Yes, but that just makes it an NL-type game where the pitcher bats. When I pull him, the new pitcher remains to hit in the lineup, not Ohtani as DH. Surely, they have this kind of workaround in the MLB rules now, correct? |
If you remove
Him as pitcher he remains in the game as DH I am using a 2 way player myself. |

Make sure you have "SP can remain as DH when removed" checked in the game settings.

Can't get this to stick. Do you have him as a pitcher or RF? |

Yes, I have that checked as well. |

Found it:
Have to scroll down on the right side of the STRATEGY settings for the player in question, then select SKIP DH WHEN PITCHING. |
