2025 Atlanta Braves and Beyond

Hello my name is PJ Bishop and I will take over as the GM/Manager of my favorite team, the Atlanta Braves. I’m excited to begin this journey as they are my favorite, have a big budget, and are primed for many deep playoff runs. I believe in a well balanced organization and the focus will not just be on the MLB roster but the entirety of the organization. Ideally after a handful of seasons I’d like to be a dominant force in baseball with a bevy of top prospects whilst fielding a World Series contender annually.

2025 Pitching Staff

Here is your 2025 Atlanta Braves opening day pitching staff. It is missing a couple of key arms to injuries, bullpen arm Joe Jimenez is out for the season with a torn ACL and ace Spencer Strider, if all goes well, should make his debut in late May. Chris Sale gets the opening day nod coming off an All-Star and Cy Young season. Even with the loss of Max Fried to FA the starting rotation should still be solid enough to contend for the division and the run support should certainly be there. Aaron Bummer will begin the season as the primary closer and overall the bullpen is solid at the top. The lone rookie on the staff is 27yo RHP Anderson Pilar who isn’t expected to have a huge role out of the bullpen.

2025 Lineups

Here is your 2025 Atlanta Braves opening day lineups. It too is missing two key bats to injuries, none bigger than Ronald Acuna Jr. who is scheduled to return by mid May or so. Catcher Sean Murphy is also out and most likely will debut in late May. Even with the two stars injured it’s still a lineup that boasts plenty of star power and power in general. Key bat that needs to step up would be CF Michael Harris. Entering his 4th season, a huge breakout is expected AND needed to help shoulder the load in Acuna’s absence. The lone rookie to watch for is 23yo C Drake Baldwin. He’s an above average defender with room to grow and offensively could boast above average power to go with his average bat to ball skills. He will have free rein until Murphy makes his debut.

2025 Top Prospects

I’m a hands on GM and will control most things minor league related outside of setting pitching staffs and the lineups/depth charts. I’ll be directly in control of all signings, releases, and promotions/demotions from AAA down to the DSL. The only exception is guys that I consider to be the team’s top prospects. I grade them A-C, with A being a prospect that has 60+ overall potential and has all the underlying attributes that I consider a key long term piece to a World Series contender. These prospects have All-Star and possibly HoF potential and will be the most coveted of all my prospects and highly unlikely to move in any trade deal. Grade B prospects are any prospect that has all the underlying attributes but unfortunately aren’t as talented as their Grade A brethren. Still considered pieces to a World Series squad but players that fill the bottom of the lineup/bench-utility role, back end rotation arms, the lower tiered arms in the bullpen, and throw in guys that could make or break a trade. Grade C prospects are just as talented as the Grade A guys but just don’t fit the mold that I’m specifically looking for. The prospects who make a grade will be micro managed by me throughout the entirety of their career to ensure proper development and a versatile role by the time they make their way to the MLB. As things stand in my opening season we have no Grade A prospects.
