Question for Mac users
Thinking of going from windows pc to Mac computer does OOTP run well on Mac . Not a tech wizard also how do i reinstall on mac..Thanks alot
|
I haven't bought this year's version yet because my league hasn't finished its season. But all previous versions have been great on my MAC. No problems.
|
Yes, it runs well on the M-chip MacBooks.
Even OOTP26 still runs well on my 2020 M1 I have as a secondary laptop. |
I play it on a 14” MacBook Pro m3. I get it direct, not through steam. About the only advantage of a windows pc IMO is the ease of migrating your game from one version like OOTP25 to OOTP 26. I enjoy how quiet and the lack of heat on my MacBook.
|
I run OOTP on an iMac with no problems. One difference, though, is that on a Mac you will not get a voice announcing the play-by-play. That's implemented only for Windows.
|
Don’t forget you can install OOTP on 2 computers with your license code. I once transferred a league I had on a windows machine to my new MacBook. Just transferred the saved game from save game file on the windows file to a usb drive, then moved it to saved game folder on the Mac.
Which MacBook are you looking at? |
Mac questions
I am looking at the Apple m4 mini also you say you can install on 2 computers does that mean you could get 3 new teams
|
Running on an m2 Max Studio. Zero problems. Installation...drag the OOTP app to your Applications folder. Done. Now, your OOTP Data folder is another thing (thanks, Apple).
