Historic Expansion Rules Not Applied
I am playing a historic game, and I just lost 5 players in the 1992 NHL expansion draft, which is confusing and frusterating. The official rules as per NHL.com are:

I have run this expansion draft a handful of times now to see if it's just my team losing so many players.
The following teams all lost over 2 players

I asked about this in reference to the 1991 Dispersal and Expansion drafts and Jeff indicated he would fix it - see link below. However after the last update I asked if it had been fixed and didn't get a response.
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=359639 I ended up using the AI evaluations of the unprotected players to manually simulate the draft by moving players between teams post draft using the player edit function - not optimal, but better than perverting the real life rules. I'm currently simulating the 91-92 season, so I'd very much like to see this fixed. |
Thanks for the response. I too just spent 40 minutes manually re-doing the draft. The historical record will show incorrectly, but at least my team, New Jersey and Montreal weren't decimated.
Even if Jeff could fix this, I bet it'd be for new games only. |
It was changed to 1 for the 1991 expansion draft in the update. I'll change it to 2 for the 92 expansion.
