Cabanella split his time between California and Hawaii as a pro boxer. He fought to a draw with Jimmy Garrison and Johnny Hutchinson and KO'd Tommy Jones. Dencio twice fought for the Hawaiian Middleweight Title, winning it on a DQ by Johnny Dias the second time around. Cabanella was only stopped twice, both comming when he fought middleweights at the end of his career.
