HARRY DUDLEY WW
Hometown - Los Angeles, California, USA
24(3)-29-13; 9 NC
Dudley was a brawler, a runner, a clutcher, a dirty trick artist, a diver, whatever it took to avoid getting hit for a while. In one bout, Dudley and his opponent were repeatedly warned to box until the referee finally declared a no contest and handed their purses over to charity. Another of Dudley's bouts was stopped due to wresting and excessive holding. After fighting Dudley a second time, Travie Davis said "His ring tactics are the lowest of any boxer I have met", Davis vowed never to enter the ring with Dudley again.
Though they won't be clearing a spot for Mr Dudley at the boxing hall of fame, he did manage to win bouts over Tiger Johnny Cline, Travie Davis, Sailor Billy Vincent and Sergeant Sammy Baker as well as a draw with Oakland Jimmy Duffy. He was also stopped by Young Jack Thompson and Baker; lost on points to Willie Harmon and KO Roberts and had a No Contest bout with Joe Dundee.
