Honeyman fought Billy Bird three times, gaining a 20 round decision win, a 15 round draw and being stopped in the seventh of their third match. In 1925, Honeyman traveled to Cologne and fought to a 10 round draw with Billy Drako. Honeyman earned the British Featherweight Title in his first pro bout with a 20 round decision over Billy Marchant; he defended once and lost the belt to Joe Fox. He was unsuccessful in his one shot at the European Belt against Arthur Wyns.
