Hernadez was the two-time Argentine Junior Welterweight Champion and one-time South American Junior Welterweight Champion. He did not lose a bout until his 38th fight when he was TKO'd by Rene Arredondo. Hernandez was KO'd by Juan Martin Coggi in an Argentine title fight as well. Most of his career however, was spent fighting second tier talent in Argentina.
