Blandon was a dual Australian champion, holding the bantamweight and featherweight titles, and losing neither of them. He relinquished his bantamweight title in September 1934, won the featherweight crown in May 1935 and still held it when he retired in May 1936. He died in 1939 from a brain tumour.
KO'd Pat Craig for the Australian Bantamweight title in 1934. Outpointed Joe Hall for the Aussie Featherweight belt in 1935. Beat Star Frisco three times, Speedy Dado and Mickey Miller twice each and Phil Zwick. Blandon was not stopped in 68 pro bouts.
