Stopped in 14 of his 18 losses, Celestino built a 9-2-0 record when he lost an 8th round TKO to Gilton Dos Santos for the Sao Paulo's State HW Title Eliminator in April 1993. In March 1997 he defeated by 10 round decision, Geraldo Messias for the Brazilian HW Title, then lost the title to Elmo Mamede De Carvalho 7 month later. In February 1999 he made another bid for the Brazilian HW title, this time loosing to GEorge Arias.
Four months after the Arias fight, Celestino won the WBC Mundo Hispano HW Title stopping Egidio Amaro Da Costa. Five months later from that, he lost that title to Walter Armando Masseroni. In April 2000 he took on George Arias again for the Brazilian HW Title only to be KO'd in the 4th round by Arias.
The next 5 years of his career included an almost 2 year layoff between June 2002 and Feb. 2004. He compiled an 8-3-0 record against pretty competion much with no ring experience. He did fight Canadian Patrice L'Heureux in May 2005 loosing by 2nd round TKO.
