Alfred won the NABF Featherweight Title in 1990 by wining a UD 12 over Jose Sanabria. Alfred was in two other championship bouts which he lost to Steve Cruz in 1988 by TKO 5 for the WBC Continental Americas Featherweight Title and also lost to Troy Dorsey in 1991 by KO 1 for the vacant IBF Featherweight Title.
