In the default American baseball league, the abbreviations for the New York American & National league teams are NYY and NYM, respectively. I think I know what the Y & the M stand for. As an avowed Yankee-hater, I'm not thrilled to see this. Should the abbreviations not be NYA & NYN? I changed them myself, but I wouldn't mind seeing this be addressed.
