ok so after an hour i got it to take. Problems i found. I imported Rose from the lahmans50 folder instead of lahmans53 and used the master file. Once he was in he was sent to FA as a 0 year old player. I had to go to the editor and give him a birthday, and 1 year= 172 days of player service for the 40 man. I assigned him a league ( the current one he's in obviously) because it was shown as
none which could have been another problem, and a team, the Cincinnati Reds, then hit action and player profile to make sure it would take. Lo and behold under "contract & status" it shows his service time and on my roster he's on my reserve list. Fingers crossed now that it holds. So far so good after a few sims
