That's actually a very good point. I was wondering why there was a team called the Pittsburgh Pirates in a league with Yucatan, but I wrote it off as a fictional North American league. Yucatan is a default Mexican League team and their season is only 110 games long, so becoming a free agent at the start of Sept and then getting picked up by an MLB team for the stretch is perfectly reasonable.
