To be honest, I doubt those were complete game shutouts that he saw. The league stats screen, which is where one would look to find shutouts, lists team shutouts, not player shutouts. 42 team shutouts in a month is very reasonable -- 261 were recorded last season.
If I'm incorrect, and the original poster got the 42 number by adding up the totals from the individual player leaderboards, I apologize, and that would be weird for any league on modern settings.
