What exactly did the Yankees do to you? They make more money than any other team in the league. They operate in the heart of the largest market in the country. They are far and away the most storied franchise in the history of major American sports and even without their vast market, they have the resulting fanbase to support such huge payrolls. The league has no salary cap. The league does, however, have a luxury tax. The Yankees choose to pay that tax, which gets redistributed to the other teams in the league, because they can afford such a luxury.
Why isn't this hatred leveled at the MLB front office? What are the Yankees doing wrong, besides making you wish your team had their resources? They are operating within the rules, rules that penalise them for having so much money to spend.
