Well, now that you mentioned it, Bud Selig isn't much higher on my list of heroes, stuck somewhere between slimeball used car salesman and cranky dental hygenist.
As for hating the Yankees, if it makes you feel better, I will change my outlook towards them to a complete lack of love coupled with antipathy. Not that I would wish upon any of them any real personal harm, mind you... I still get a little choked up when I think of Thurman Munson who died so young and full of potential... but come-uppance for the Yankees I don't mind seeing one bit.
I never thought of editting the city file, that's a very good idea to try.
I've had Yankee-free baseball universes, and ones with the Yankees in them. Because I prefer to do an inaugural draft, usually the fictional Yankees are no better than anyone else. It was only just very recently that I discovered that previous OOTPB's used "faked" players to approximate real MLB players who cannot be named. So, "Jerek Dieter" still would have been a powerful force on any team in any other OOTPB 'verse but mine.
